Frequently asked questions

Will it find every face?

Most faces seen from the front or at a slight angle. A face in profile, a very small face or a partly hidden one may be missed – so check the result before sharing and cover any missed spot with an area. A thorough search finds small faces too.

Can the blur be removed later?

No. Blurring, pixelating and redacting are written straight into the picture, and the original can’t be recovered from the result. Redact is the safest.

How do I cover a license plate or a screen?

Tap Add area, drag it into place in the preview and resize it by its corners. Use From here and Until here to set when it’s covered.

Is the video or any face sent anywhere?

No. The face detection model is downloaded from our server and runs in your browser. Neither the video frames nor the faces found ever leave your device.

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. Videos are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
