Frequently asked questions

How long can a GIF be?

Up to a minute. GIFs are made for short loops – ideally under 10 seconds, otherwise the file tends to be large.

How do I make a smaller GIF?

Choose a smaller width (320 px), 10 frames per second and a shorter part. Cropping the frame makes the file smaller too.

Does a GIF have sound?

No, GIFs can’t carry sound. For a video with sound, choose MP4.

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No. Videos are processed right in your browser and never leave your device. Only the tool itself is downloaded from our server, the same for everyone. More in the privacy policy.
