Frequently asked questions

Why convert WebM?

WebM (VP9 or VP8) is great for the web, but older iPhones, TVs and some programs can’t open it. MP4 with H.264 opens everywhere.

Can you handle MKV too?

Yes, MKV with common codecs is converted the same way. Audio your browser can’t play (such as AC-3) is left out – we’ll let you know.

Can I convert MP4 to WebM too?

Yes, choose WebM (VP9 and Opus) in the Convert tab.

Are my videos uploaded to a server?
